About the Farmer

Growing up on the family dairy farm as a child I had the great pleasure of helping my grandfather plant his gardens, maintain his gardens, and operate his farm market at this very location.  Following my grandmothers sudden unexpected death in the late fall of 1985, the 1986 season demanded more help and involvement of myself for the full operation of the farm market and gardens.  In the early 1990's my grandfather could no longer operate the farm market and closed it indefinitely.  Upon graduating from High School I ventured into college and opted to quit to work at Team Elmer's.  After numerous years being employed at Team Elmer's I  reenrolled for college taking night courses through Michigan State University to venture into a career in the commercial turf industry.  Upon graduating from MSU for Commercial Turf Operations, my employment took me from Traverse City to North Carolina and into Texas.  In the spring of 2011 I decided it was time to return to the farm and pick up where my grandfather left off.  This is when I finally found my niche in life, being a farmer on our family farm and bringing the Farm Market back into operation!

Unfortunately we do not accept online orders, please call Brent Edgecomb to check on availability of what we offer and possibly order by phone.  Please do note that we are a fully functioning farm and the growing season demands us to be in the fields most of the season.  With that, it leaves us little time to update our web page during the season so please feel free to contact us by phone or text to check on availability of our produce.  Further note that "google" listed business information is unfortunately not always completely accurate.
